This program equips Business students to transition to a four-year university as Accounting majors. Participants develop essential competencies for accounting careers or related roles like financial analysts or staff accountants.
Graduates will achieve the following learning outcomes:
Master double-entry accounting principles across financial and cost accounting systems for diverse business entities
Generate financial statements and reports, then analyze them to assess a company's financial health while understanding core business principles and recognizing ethical accounting dilemmas
Compare and contrast International Reporting Standards with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in terms of theory and reporting requirements
Analyze situations demanding professional research and develop systematic, clear problem-solving strategies
