The Master of Science in Computer Science with a Digital Arts specialization (CS/DA) is a newly introduced track within our two-year MS program in Computer Science. This concentration combines computer science coursework, digital arts classes, and research/thesis components. Participants receive a thorough computer science education along with fundamental digital arts training, plus specialized research opportunities in visual computing fields like computer graphics, human-computer interaction, digital fabrication, media arts, computer vision, virtual reality, and augmented reality. The CS/DA graduate program intentionally attracts students from diverse academic backgrounds. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from a four-year institution and have completed coursework equivalent to Dartmouth's CS1 and CS10 with a B+ or higher. Additionally, candidates should have a major or minor in one of the core visual computing or digital arts disciplines.
