The Master of Education in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification is a 30-credit, non-thesis graduate program designed for aspiring K-12 school leaders. Through coursework, internships, and seminars, participants gain essential knowledge and practical skills for modern school administration. Faculty members bring real-world expertise, combining leadership experience with policy knowledge to offer comprehensive insights into school management. Every class aligns with the TExES principal certification exam requirements, focusing on key administrative domains. The curriculum builds competencies identified by the state for effective educational leadership, including developing shared visions and fostering high-expectation cultures. Participants undertake a 160-hour internship to experience instructional leadership responsibilities directly. This program also allows students to earn the Advanced Educational Leadership (AEL) certificate, a requirement for public school administrators, concurrently with their principal certification.
