Cornell Law School's Master of Laws (LL.M.) program is a one-year course tailored for international legal professionals and recent graduates holding a foreign law degree. The General LL.M. curriculum enhances students' knowledge of U.S. legal frameworks while offering opportunities to specialize. This flexible program lets you customize your studies to align with personal academic and professional goals while immersing in American legal education. LL.M. candidates fully participate in the law school's academic and social activities, including joint classes with J.D. students and most student groups. The LL.M. Association serves as the dedicated student body that organizes events and advocates for LL.M. candidates. Beyond the law school, students benefit from Cornell University's expansive campus in Ithaca, nestled in New York's scenic Finger Lakes region.
