The Sloan Program's Master of Health Administration is a structured two-year curriculum that equips students for leadership roles across diverse healthcare environments. This comprehensive program prepares graduates for positions in hospitals, consulting firms, corporate settings, government organizations, healthcare networks, long-term care facilities, and mental health institutions. The curriculum combines core health administration coursework with specialized electives in key business areas including financial management, marketing strategies, technology systems, and personnel administration. Earning an MHA degree cultivates essential leadership competencies through rigorous training in organizational management, healthcare infrastructure, policy analysis, and public health principles. Graduates gain the expertise to oversee operations in multiple healthcare contexts - from hospital systems and elder care providers to pharmaceutical firms and public health departments - with a focus on enhancing service quality, accessibility, operational effectiveness, and technological advancement. This highly adaptable degree has enabled our alumni to secure positions across ten distinct healthcare industry segments.
We welcome applications from individuals with bachelor’s degrees from a variety of backgrounds (the bachelor’s degree must be earned prior to matriculating). Full time work experience and/or healthcare experience (e.g., full time, volunteer, part time, or internships) are preferred but not required. Our preferred minimum undergraduate GPA is 3.0 and strong applicants have GRE or GMAT scores in the 80th percentile.
English Language Proficiency Requirement
IELTS Academic - 7.0; TOEFL - The Graduate School’s official minimum sub-scores for each element of the TOEFL iBT are: Speaking: 22, Reading: 20, Listening: 15, Writing: 20.
