Food and farming play a pivotal role in our rapidly evolving global landscape, presenting some of today's most critical challenges. We require a new wave of cultivators, policymakers, corporate leaders, visionaries, and teachers to redefine agricultural practices. Recognized among the top five institutions for agricultural studies, Cornell's Agricultural Sciences program offers customizable coursework with specializations in animal science, business administration and policy, educational and social systems, organic farming, and sustainable crop management. Hone your leadership abilities and analytical skills through an introductory cohort class while acquiring real-world experience via laboratory and fieldwork, all while mastering agricultural science and its environmental and socioeconomic implications.
Those specializing in Education and Society enjoy remarkable freedom to investigate agriculture's societal dimensions. Study options span from traditional teaching and alternative education to equity issues, international wellness, and scientific journalism. Participants fulfill 12 credits toward one of seven minors: Communications, Local Food Networks, Literary Arts or English, Social Development Studies, Teaching, and Worldwide Health.
