Mathematics majors have the flexibility to delve into pure theoretical mathematics or apply their knowledge across various disciplines. With seven specialized concentrations available, students can customize their academic journey by selecting from diverse courses in analysis, algebra, topology, geometry, probability, statistics, and logic. This adaptable program serves multiple objectives—it can focus on abstract concepts or practical applications, suit both career professionals and enthusiasts, and offer either broad foundational knowledge or specialized expertise. Additionally, the major pairs well with complementary studies in physical, biological, or social sciences through double majors or focused concentrations.
Students completing their high school during the 2021-22 academic year or if they've graduated from high school but have earned fewer than 12 credits at a college or university are eligible for admission as first year students.
TOEFL - Score of 100 and above (Internet-based exam); 70 and above on the PTE Academic; IELTS - Score of 7.5.
