Students have the option to earn either a Bachelor of Arts in Information Science from the College of Arts & Sciences (BA-IS) or a Bachelor of Science in Information Science from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) (BS-IS). These degree paths share many similarities, with the key differences lying in their respective college-level prerequisites. The BA in Information Science (IS) enables students to explore how information systems are designed and utilized within societal frameworks. This discipline examines how digital information is generated, structured, managed, implemented, and evaluated. Information Science emphasizes technological systems and their applications, adopting an interdisciplinary perspective with diverse methodological approaches.
