These courses focus on the viewpoints, principles, frameworks, and approaches of fields within the social and behavioral sciences. Learners will explore both individual and collective behavior within societal contexts. Through engaging topics and discussions that promote analytical thinking about human responses to social structures, students will assess how communities and subgroups function.
An Associate of Arts degree requires completing at least 60 credit units with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Major coursework must be completed with a C grade or higher. Choose a minimum of 18 units from the Social and Behavioral Science courses listed below. To ensure diversity, select courses from at least two different disciplines. Note that courses fulfilling major requirements may also count toward general education requirements.
