These programs focus on the natural sciences, exploring the physical world, living organisms, and natural events. Mathematics courses build quantitative reasoning abilities beyond intermediate algebra. Learners will master scientific methodologies as research instruments and analyze how scientific discoveries have shaped civilizations throughout history.
To earn an Associate of Arts degree, students must complete at least 60 credit units with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Major requirements demand a C grade or higher, with a minimum of 18 units chosen from specified Math and Science courses. For diversity, students must select courses from at least two different disciplines within this category. These major courses may also fulfill general education requirements.
