The Associate in Arts in Anthropology for Transfer (AA-T) provides a foundation for students aiming to pursue a bachelor's degree in anthropology or related fields at a California State University (CSU). Graduates of this program secure guaranteed admission to the CSU system, though specific campuses or majors aren't assured. Through this curriculum, students will learn to interpret ancient human societies through archaeological evidence, recognize culture's role in human development, understand humans as products of biological evolution, and apply scientific methods in anthropological research. To earn this Associate in Arts Degree, students must complete at least 60 units of coursework, fulfilling both major and general education requirements while maintaining a 2.0 GPA minimum. All major courses require a grade of C or higher for successful completion.
