Advances in technology and science have led to the development of numerous new substances, many of which present risks to human well-being. Toxicology is the discipline focused on assessing and studying the adverse impacts of chemical, biological, and physical factors on living beings, especially humans. The Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) Department provides a Master of Science (MS) program with a Toxicology specialization. This graduate program equips students with specialized knowledge in environmental exposure, regulatory frameworks, and risk reduction strategies. Alongside comprehensive toxicology studies, participants develop foundational skills in biostatistics and epidemiology. The curriculum fosters analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities while offering hands-on learning through coursework, the Applied Practice Experience (APEx), and thesis projects. A dedicated laboratory course immerses students in contemporary toxicological techniques. The program features both full-time faculty with global reputations and practicing professionals who contribute industry insights, strengthening the career-focused nature of this advanced degree.
