Established in 2006, the Toni Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism prepares students for successful careers in investigative reporting. Those pursuing a Master of Science degree can choose this specialization, which complements the standard M.S. program while remaining platform-agnostic. Stabile scholars must complete specialized courses and workshops focused on investigative techniques. Throughout the academic year, they master investigative methodologies and must produce an investigative piece as their final Master's Project. The center assists with research and reporting expenses, covering travel when necessary. Post-graduation fellowships enable students to continue their investigative work. To earn the investigative journalism specialization, applicants must seek admission to both the Journalism School and the Stabile Center simultaneously.
