While an MS thesis isn't mandatory, students may pursue up to six (6) credit hours of independent research, which can serve as a thesis equivalent. The Transportation Engineering specialization equips students to develop, construct, and manage future transportation systems transformed by cutting-edge technologies like shared mobility, connected vehicles, self-driving cars, and big data analytics.
