The Harriman Institute oversees the Master of Arts in Regional Studies - Russia, Eurasia, and Eastern Europe (MARS-REERS) program, designed for students pursuing an interdisciplinary examination of modern Russia, Eurasia, and Eastern Europe (encompassing former Soviet states, Eastern Europe, and the Balkans). This curriculum offers in-depth exploration of the area's political systems, global relations, recent history, and sociocultural structures, incorporating both nation-specific and cross-regional perspectives. Prospective students should possess basic language proficiency and are required to finish a minimum of three years of study in an Eastern European or Eurasian language. The program caters to individuals launching professional careers, experienced practitioners, doctoral program candidates, and holders of professional degrees (like JD or MBA) seeking specialized regional knowledge.
Applicant must have the equivalent of the U.S. baccalaureate degree with a superior examination record and can understand rapid idiomatic English and can speak, write and read English with a high degree of facility are eligible for admission.
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 600 on paper-and-pencil test, 100 on the internet-based test and IELTS score of 7.5
