The Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Epidemiology is an advanced research program that equips healthcare practitioners and public health experts with sophisticated training in epidemiological research methodologies. Our department focuses on cultivating future leaders in both academic investigation and applied public health. Faculty members specialize in diverse areas including chronic illnesses, infectious diseases, life course studies, mental health/neurological epidemiology, social determinants of health, clinical epidemiology, and methodological approaches. Qualification Requirements

Applicants will need to submit letters of recommendation from three (3) individuals familiar with your academic and/or professional work. Letters of recommendation should be submitted online from professional, not commercial, email accounts (e.g. yahoo, hotmail, etc.). The Admissions Office requires applicant's GRE scores, which should be forwarded directly from the Educational Testing Service. SOPHAS applicants use Mailman Public Health Institutional Code 2159, HAMPCAS applicants use Mailman Public Health Institutional Code 0047. International students must submit either TOEFL or IELTS scores. The minimum required TOEFL ibt score is 100 (or 600 paper based). The minimum required IELTS band score is 7.5. Please send official transcripts from each of the colleges and universities you list on your application to SOPHAS.

In effort to support our applicants during the CoVid-19 Pandemic, standardized test scores for applications to the 2021-2022 academic year are optional for all master's degree programs. For doctoral programs please confirm requirements by checking the individual department page for detailed information on the application and/or department requirements. We will require evidence of quantitative and analytical ability. To demonstrate this ability, candidates must complete all questions under the Quantitative & Analytical Assessment section within the application.
