The PhD program in Biological Sciences offers interdisciplinary training through Columbia University's prestigious Department of Biological Sciences, located at the Morningside campus (116th Street) in Manhattan. Research specializations encompass diverse fields including Disease and Cancer Biology, Cellular and Developmental Biology with Stem Cell focus, Evolutionary Studies, Population Genetics and Comparative Genomics, Genomic Structure and Regulation, Computational and Systems Biology approaches, Microbial Studies, Neurobiology, Structural and Biophysical Sciences, along with Chemical Biology and Biochemistry.
Applicant must have the equivalent of the U.S. baccalaureate degree with a superior examination record and can understand rapid idiomatic English and can speak, write and read English with a high degree of facility are eligible for admission.
