The Neuroscience and Behavior program offers comprehensive training in understanding how neural mechanisms shape behavior and cognitive processes. Designed for aspiring researchers in neuroscience or allied fields, this major combines foundational studies in biology, psychology, and statistics with specialized coursework in neural and behavioral sciences.
During their final year, all students complete two semesters of independent research alongside the Senior Research Seminar. Juniors are required to start formulating their senior research project proposals.
Learning Objectives
Graduates of the Neuroscience and Behavior program will achieve these key competencies:
establish a robust theoretical framework in neuroscience
gain proficiency in analyzing and assessing neuroscience studies
comprehend experimental approaches in neuroscience research
master fundamental techniques for experimental design and hypothesis evaluation
