This program delivers a thorough foundation in electrical engineering while allowing substantial flexibility to explore specialized areas through elective courses and research initiatives. This combination of broad knowledge and focused study equips students for diverse career trajectories, including engineering roles, positions in mathematically-intensive disciplines, and advanced professional or graduate studies.
Accredited engineering programs are required to establish specific student learning outcomes encompassing at minimum the criteria listed below as items a-k. We continuously evaluate our curriculum to ensure comprehensive coverage of these objectives and assess student proficiency in achieving them.
the capacity to recognize, define, and resolve intricate engineering challenges using engineering, scientific, and mathematical principles
the capability to implement engineering design processes that develop solutions addressing defined requirements while accounting for public health, safety, welfare, and global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic considerations
proficiency in communicating clearly with diverse audiences
the ability to acknowledge ethical and professional obligations in engineering scenarios and form reasoned decisions that account for the worldwide, economic, environmental, and societal implications of engineering outcomes.
