The History program explores diverse global regions and historical eras, fostering students' comprehensive historical knowledge. It combines factual mastery with critical analysis skills essential for historical thinking. The curriculum features two course formats: lectures and seminars. Lectures provide broad overviews of specific regions or time periods, as well as thematic studies. Seminars enable closer examination of primary sources in intimate settings, allowing for advanced written work. With no mandatory prerequisites, history courses offer flexible sequencing. Still, students benefit from taking introductory lectures before seminars. Those seeking deeper engagement may opt for historiography courses and senior thesis projects. History graduates have entered various professions, from healthcare and legal fields to media, finance, and scholarly research.
