The mathematics research faculty at Colorado State University plays a pivotal role in the graduate program's achievements. Our graduates have excelled in securing positions across academia, industry, government sectors, and K-12 education.
This master's program caters to students seeking comprehensive mathematical training at the graduate level. It also serves as excellent preparation for our mathematics Ph.D. program. Ideal applicants should have completed upper-division coursework in advanced calculus, abstract algebra, and linear algebra.
All Master of Science degrees mandate a minimum of 35 credit hours. With faculty guidance, students' advisory committees will design their academic path and oversee either thesis development (Plan A) or master's paper completion (Plan B).
