The Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University invites applications for the Lillian Fountain-Smith Endowed Professorship. This tenure-track position at the Associate or Full Professor level spans nine months. Ideal candidates will possess a distinguished, externally supported research portfolio focused on nutrition, aging, and healthspan across clinical, molecular, or community contexts.
You'll have the opportunity to focus on either food science or nutrition disciplines.
Our food science program delivers comprehensive training in food systems, microbiology, and food chemistry through academic and research experiences.
Our nutrition program offers specialized training in molecular, clinical, and community nutrition through rigorous coursework and research initiatives.

Bachelor's degree must be completed by the start of your graduate program.
U.S. degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution to qualify for CSU graduate admission (certificate or degree program).
Contact your department to find out if unofficial transcripts are accepted. If your department accepts unofficial transcripts, you may be admitted and registered in your first semester of courses with an unofficial transcript. Official transcripts must be submitted, prior to or during your first semester, before you can register for your second semester of graduate work. Failure to meet this condition will result in your dismissal from the Graduate School.
You will need unofficial transcripts of all collegiate work completed post-high school. Separate transcripts are required for study abroad if the courses, grades, and credits are not recorded on the transcript of the university that sponsored the study abroad.
Training course transcripts from branches of the U.S. Military that show credit received with neither grades nor degrees awarded are exempt from the transcript requirements. You must upload the front and back of transcripts and include any grading scale provided.
In general, the minimum cumulative GPA for non-provisional admittance is a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) to be admitted by the Graduate School.
