This program enables students to establish connections with CSU's Institute for Research in the Social Sciences, Geospatial Centroid, the Graybill Statistics and Data Science Laboratory, and other campus entities working with political or social science data. Participants in this specialization will develop skills for careers as data analysts, researchers, and consultants across government agencies, non-profit organizations, political campaigns, advocacy groups, and private companies. The curriculum prepares students to:
Apply both quantitative and qualitative approaches to examine significant theoretical and applied questions in political science.
Develop competencies in data analytics, including gathering, organizing, and statistically evaluating information.
Perform research grounded in evidence and effectively communicate data-driven findings to general audiences.
