Water plays a vital role in worldwide health and economic progress. Over 30% of the global population lacks reliable drinking water services, while more than half don't have proper sanitation facilities. While many affected individuals reside in rural regions of developing nations, significant numbers also inhabit fast-expanding urban centers with inadequate infrastructure. Furthermore, countless people face heightened risks from water-related crises. With growing populations, shifting climate patterns, and unstable socioeconomic conditions, ensuring and enhancing access to clean water and sanitation services will likely grow more challenging.
