The department provides a doctoral program for aspiring atmospheric scientists seeking the field's most advanced academic qualification. Ph.D. candidates must exhibit substantial intellectual contributions, exceptional research capabilities, and comprehensive subject mastery. Beyond fulfilling the outlined credit requirements, all graduate students in the department are required to participate in the weekly colloquium series, which forms a vital component of the educational curriculum. These seminars typically occur Fridays at 11:15 a.m. throughout the academic term.
