Horticulture involves applying scientific methods to cultivate, market, process, and use various plants including fruits, vegetables, flowers, ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, and turf grasses. This field of study demands solid foundations in botany, chemistry, and horticultural practices. Students can specialize in one of four focus areas: Floriculture, Horticultural Business Management, Horticultural Food Crops, or Horticultural Science.
