The Department provides an integrated BS/MS program allowing qualified undergraduates to earn both a Bachelor's and research-focused Master's degree within five years. Biochemistry majors at Colorado State University who have finished at least 75 credit hours toward their degree, including 15 upper-division credits, with a minimum 3.25 GPA, can apply for this combined bachelor's/Plan A master's program. The Plan A Master's requires an original research thesis, and candidates must maintain full-time enrollment during their thesis work. This program delivers rigorous academic training and hands-on research experience in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Master's students wishing to transition to the Ph.D. program must submit an application to the Graduate Recruitment Committee. Those earning both degrees from Colorado State University are encouraged to pursue doctoral studies at another institution when feasible.
