Agricultural Education refers to an organized instructional program designed for students seeking knowledge and training in agricultural sciences, business practices, and technological applications within food production and environmental/natural resource management. This discipline equips learners with the skills needed for prosperous careers and educated decisions in agricultural fields. Offered as a primary area of study through both the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics and the School of Education's Center for Educator Preparation, Colorado State University provides two specialized tracks: Teacher Development for classroom-based agricultural instruction, and Agricultural Literacy for implementation in alternative educational environments. Additionally, students may pursue a minor in Agricultural Literacy.
