The Painting program enables students to investigate, cultivate, and personally comprehend the visual vocabulary and technical elements of painting. It also fosters material exploration and conceptual development in advanced coursework. Starting with observational work, learners build oil painting techniques and mastery. As proficiency grows, students are prompted to question traditional painting concepts by experimenting with unconventional tools, techniques, materials, and substrates. Through this process, students enhance their discipline and persistence while forging an individual artistic perspective, both conceptually and technically. During their final year, students collaborate intensively with Painting instructors to create an original portfolio demonstrating refined content and breadth.
