The Environmental Politics and Policy specialization equips students with the analytical tools to examine the interplay between governance and ecological systems, preparing them for careers in environmental governance and regulation. This program explores how political dynamics influence environmental challenges, the formulation of conservation policies, methods to evaluate policy effectiveness, and ways to mobilize political action against issues like global warming, contamination of vital resources, sustainable agriculture, and power generation. The curriculum examines these topics through both national and international lenses. Participation in internships is highly recommended to acquire hands-on experience in environmental policy work.
