The Ethnic Studies major's Community Organizing and Institutional Change track equips students with knowledge of historical and contemporary approaches diverse groups have employed to advocate for civil rights. Emphasizing awareness, active listening, respectful dialogue, and strategic community mobilization for social equity, graduates will be prepared to lead transformation within organizations and systems. The curriculum explores policy development, activism, and systemic reform, empowering students to identify and address current societal challenges.
