You're motivated by an innate desire to understand Earth's systems and those of other planets. You aim to address challenges involving underground structures, natural resources, and geological events. We share this passion.

Through Mines' geophysics and geophysical engineering graduate programs, you'll deepen your knowledge of our planet by benefiting from intimate class settings and a collaborative academic atmosphere. The curriculum provides cross-disciplinary training in geological principles, mathematical foundations, and physical sciences, while also examining both theoretical frameworks and applied techniques in geophysics through targeted coursework and hands-on research.

Upon graduation, you'll be equipped not just to advance professionally—you'll be positioned to contribute meaningful solutions to the field's most urgent contemporary challenges.
Students can choose between conventional research-focused graduate tracks or a non-thesis professional program tailored to specific career goals.
