The Earth's liquids, gases, and mineral deposits hold vast amounts of valuable data, offering numerous applications for both industrial and scientific research. As job opportunities in this field are projected to increase at an above-average rate in the coming years, so too will the need for skilled, committed experts.
Our Graduate Programs in Geochemistry equip students for career advancement through an interdisciplinary approach featuring two specialized tracks. The geochemistry concentration covers topics like the chemical development of Earth's crust and mantle, energy resource geochemistry, chemical mineralogy, and beyond. Meanwhile, the environmental biogeochemistry track examines the interconnected chemical and biological systems of our planet's biosphere and their alterations due to human influence.
Regardless of which specialization students choose, Mines alumni will be exceptionally prepared to emerge as industry leaders and establish thriving professional paths.
