Meeting these requirements does not guarantee admission to Mines. Applicants who are admitted typically will exceed Mines admission requirements. To complete your application, ask your high school to send us your official high school transcript/marksheets electronically or you may upload an unofficial high school transcript via the Supplemental Materials section of your Applicant Portal 24 hours after submitting your online application.
All students who have attended high school outside of the U.S. are also required to submit a credential evaluation to complete their application. A credential evaluation is a comparison of your academic record to standards in the U.S., a verification of validity and a translation of your grades to the U.S.-style system. Please view the following information for a list of exceptions and a detailed explanation of what is needed and how to obtain an evaluation.
International Baccalaureate- The most competitive international applicants whose schools offer the IB curriculum usually present three IB exams with grades of 5, 6 or 7.
English Language Requirements-
TOFEL IBT -(Reading- 20, Listening 21, Writing 17, Speaking- 21) Score- 79
IELTS Minimum overall band of 6.5 with no band below 6.0.
