The Department of Applied Science is a cross-disciplinary graduate program primarily centered on doctoral studies, while also providing select Master of Science degree options. These programs allow for tailored specializations across various physical and natural science disciplines. Students collaborate with faculty advisors to design personalized academic paths aligned with their career aspirations. The department attracts graduate candidates from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Each student's course plan is customized in consultation with their faculty advisory team.
To fulfill degree requirements, candidates must complete either: 1) 30 graduate credit hours plus an original thesis defended orally before their committee, or 2) 32 graduate credit hours including Applied Science 710 Research Project.
