The Department of Applied Science is a multidisciplinary graduate program primarily centered on doctoral studies, while also providing select Master of Science degree options. These programs allow for tailored specializations across various physical and natural science disciplines. The Ph.D. program provides full financial support, including a $27,000 annual research assistantship along with tuition coverage and health benefits.
To earn their degree, candidates must fulfill either of two pathways: 1) Complete 30 graduate credit hours plus an original thesis defended before an advisory committee, or 2) Complete 32 graduate credit hours including the Applied Science 710 Research Project course.
