Upper-level undergraduate students at Cleveland State University seeking an Adolescent/Young Adult teaching license should register through their primary academic college while adding the Education certification to their program. These students fulfill their major's degree requirements and earn their bachelor's degree from their home college. After meeting all degree and licensing criteria, the teaching certification appears on official transcripts. The College of Public Affairs and Education can additionally endorse candidates for adolescent/young adult teaching licenses in disciplines outside their major, provided they satisfy both college and state standards. Available Adolescent/Young Adult Education specializations include: integrated language arts, mathematics, social studies, and sciences. Physics is offered as a standalone science certification, but only when paired with an integrated mathematics license.
