Music offers a complete educational experience in music for both undergraduate and graduate students, while also hosting concerts, recitals, seminars, master classes, and workshops for the campus and surrounding community. Students will delve into Music theory, Musicianship, instrumental/voice techniques, and Music History. Graduates pursue diverse careers such as: Performing artist, Arts Administrator, Community Arts Coordinator, Music Therapist, Event Coordinator, Music Educator, Accompanist in various environments, Audio Engineer, Band/Choral Conductor, Composer, Conductor, Entertainment professional, Historian, Instrument Craftsperson, College Professor, Librarian, Promoter, Songwriter/Producer.
Music students master musical styles and structures, applying this expertise in performances. They explore connections between music, social movements, and history while building confidence, discipline, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and creative expression. Advanced organizational and leadership skills are cultivated.
If you have successfully completed your high school degree (12 years of primary and secondary education), you are considered an undergraduate student at CSU.
Meet minimum test score requirements:
TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based): 78 and at least 17 in each section
TOEFL PBT (Paper-Based): 550
IELTS: 6.0 and at least 5.0 in each section
PTE (Pearsons Test of English): 50
iTEP: 3.8
ACT English Score: 20
SAT Critical Reading Score: 470
