Students pursuing Public Safety Management gain the expertise to become skilled leaders in public safety agencies. The curriculum covers policy creation, emergency response tactics, and addressing community security requirements. Alumni find careers across various sectors including police departments, fire services, corrections systems, disaster response agencies, and homeland security at municipal, state, and national levels. Potential career paths encompass roles such as: Court Officer, Police Commissioner, Detention Officer, Judicial Assistant, Disaster Preparedness Specialist, FBI Agent, Fire Department Chief, Firefighter, Detective, Legal Assistant, Patrol Officer, Legal Support Professional, and Public Security Administrator. This program cultivates essential abilities including: supervisory skills, organizational leadership, interpersonal communication, dispute mediation, data analysis, decision-making capabilities, logical reasoning, and dedication to civic duty.
If you have successfully completed your high school degree (12 years of primary and secondary education), you are considered an undergraduate student at CSU.
