The Chemistry Department provides three advanced degree programs, featuring adaptable course selections and opportunities for specialized research in analytical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. Interdisciplinary research areas encompass bio-organic and bioinorganic chemistry, polymer science, materials chemistry, chemical physics, and more.
Master's candidates can complete their degree through either a blend of graduate-level courses and thesis research (M.S. thesis track) or solely through coursework (M.S. non-thesis track). The chemistry Ph.D. program combines rigorous academic study with extensive research training, cultivating independent scholars capable of producing original scientific contributions.
