Clemson University provides both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in criminal justice. Those pursuing a B.A. complete a four-semester foreign language requirement along with extra humanities classes, equipping them for public-facing careers. B.S. candidates undertake a two-semester research methods sequence plus additional math and science coursework, preparing them for technical positions in the field. Criminal justice majors enter professions such as law enforcement, corrections, legal practice, government work, social services, and policy research.
Graduates have secured employment across all levels of law enforcement, including roles with the FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, and South Carolina's state police. Through the accelerated Bachelor's-to-Graduate pathway, high-achieving students can simultaneously complete their undergraduate studies while starting coursework toward a master's degree in social science.
