Philosophy students collaborate with faculty on independent research projects, exploring subjects like media's impact on belief systems, legal theories of statutory interpretation, and ethical considerations in epigenetics. Graduates pursue diverse careers in fields such as business, management, policy analysis, real estate, law, and healthcare.
The program also provides excellent preparation for advanced studies in humanities, social sciences, and other fields. Philosophy graduates consistently achieve top scores on professional school entrance exams, making our program particularly strong for law and medical school preparation. Clemson's Ethics Bowl team maintains one of the nation's most impressive competitive debate records in public policy discussions.
