This joint program from the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and School of Educational Studies combines a Master's in Mathematics with a Preliminary Credential, cultivating thoughtful educators who bring mathematics to life through active student engagement. Tailored for aspiring secondary school and community college math teachers, our program focuses on mathematical modeling and problem-solving while providing a pathway to earn a preliminary single-subject teaching credential. Through CGU's Teacher Education Internship Program, participants gain hands-on classroom experience, working full-time under the guidance of a CGU mentor-advisor to understand both the challenges and fulfillment of teaching.
