The Master of Arts in Islamic Studies explores Islam's connections with other faiths and current global discussions affecting Muslim communities worldwide. This distinctive graduate program focuses on Islam's historical roots and its modern role among nations and religions. Students engage with prominent Islamic academic works and develop comprehensive knowledge of Islamic sacred texts. By concentrating on Islamic intellectual traditions across theology, philosophy, and mysticism, the program offers insights into the religion's social, historical, political, and cultural contexts, bridging classical and contemporary viewpoints. Comparative studies with Christianity and Judaism further illuminate interfaith relationships. This degree serves as strong preparation for doctoral studies in religion or for professional paths in government, global business, media, and non-profit sectors.
