Located at the dynamic crossroads of cultural studies, digital media, critical theory, and pop culture, the rapidly expanding discipline of Media Studies explores the innovative and analytical approaches of media audiences, creators, artists, and academics, with emphasis on issues of representation, influence, technology, policy, and commerce. This Media Studies program is collaboratively provided through the Intercollegiate Media Studies (IMS) Program at The Claremont Colleges. Our concentration enables you to craft a personalized curriculum within the rapidly evolving Media Studies domain, encompassing diverse stimulating fields such as cultural and film studies, digital media, visual arts, critical analysis, pop culture, media creation, and art history. Learners examine both the artistic and evaluative methods employed by media audiences, content creators, artists, and researchers.
