The MPA program equips aspiring public service leaders with the tools for groundbreaking leadership. Offering courses in nonprofit management, strategic leadership, public policy analysis, and program evaluation, it trains professionals for roles in local, state, and federal governments as well as nonprofit organizations.
The flexible online structure enables completion of the 37-credit program in approximately 2-3 years, even while employed full-time. Courses are taught by CMU faculty and blend self-directed study with practical applications. Prior professional experience may also count toward academic credit.
Our program holds accreditation from NASPAA (Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration), the worldwide benchmark for public service education.
