The Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology program offers a customized curriculum focused on building professional competencies and career growth. Collaborate with your faculty advisor and committee while developing your skills through core studies and research projects. Our program draws faculty and laboratory resources from multiple departments within the College of Science and Engineering and the College of Medicine. Investigators employ diverse methodologies and model organisms to conduct both fundamental and applied research across various fields, including cancer biology, infectious diseases, neuroscience, and developmental biology.
With its broad range of specializations and research focuses, our Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology programs enable students to investigate critical biological questions using creative, cooperative, and cross-disciplinary methods.
