Develop comprehensive expertise and hands-on abilities in leadership, communication, team dynamics, human resources, and policy development across community environments—from neighborhood to nationwide scales. Our distinguished faculty will guide you through courses examining community institutions' functions and the execution and assessment of local initiatives.

Additionally, you'll specialize in one of three focus areas: community services, health sciences, or public administration. This program prepares you to teach communities about nutrition and wellness, direct public agencies improving social services, or supervise teams advocating for policy reforms. Whatever your professional aspirations, you can customize your studies to support them.

Choosing the public administration specialization equips you with leadership and management capabilities for public service organizations across municipal, state, and national governments. You'll master legislative and judicial systems, community needs analysis, consensus building, and policy implementation strategies. The curriculum includes public economics, urban studies, U.S. government structures, political systems, and other key subjects.
