Develop comprehensive expertise and hands-on abilities in leadership, communication, team dynamics, human resources, and policy development across community environments - from neighborhood to nationwide levels. You'll be taught by distinguished professors through coursework examining community organizations' functions and how to execute and assess community initiatives.
Additionally, you'll specialize in one of three focus areas: community services, health sciences, or public administration. This program prepares you to teach communities about nutrition and wellness, direct public agencies improving social services, or oversee teams implementing policy reforms locally. Whatever your professional aspirations, you can customize your studies to support them.
Choosing the health sciences concentration provides insight into diverse health challenges affecting community populations. You'll acquire skills for recognizing and addressing physical, psychological, and behavioral health concerns in communities. The curriculum includes studies in human anatomy, physiology, substance abuse education, public health environments, and additional relevant topics.
