The Department of Finance and Law at CMU provides degree programs in Finance, Personal Financial Planning, and Real Estate Development & Finance, along with minors in Legal Studies, Finance, and Real Estate Development & Finance. The Finance program explores financial management fundamentals and institutional finance, emphasizing corporate financial goals while covering investment and portfolio strategies. The Personal Financial Planning curriculum examines financial concepts for individual wealth management and methods to attain personal financial targets. The Legal Studies minor offers courses that enhance comprehension of legal systems, their roles, potential, and constraints. A joint Law and Economics major is available through collaboration between the Finance and Law Department and the Economics Department. High school graduate: If you are currently in high school, we just need to see your 9-11 (or equivalent) grade transcripts for an admission decision. However, you must graduate from an approved high school (or equivalent) prior to starting classes at CMU.
To ensure your success at CMU, you must provide proof of proficiency in English
Submit official transcripts from your high school. If you have college credits, also submit transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended.
TOEFL: 550 PBT/79 IBT for regular admission.
IELTS: 6.5 for regular admission.
General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or General Certificate of Education (GSE): A score of A or B on the English Language Exam.
SAT: Evidence-based Reading and Writing (EBRW) score of 520.
ACT: English score of 21.
ELS Language Center Program: Completion of Level 112 for regular admission.
International Baccalaureate (IB): A grade of 5 in English at the Higher Level is required for regular admission.
