The Department of Finance and Law at CMU provides degree programs in Finance, Personal Financial Planning, and Real Estate Development & Finance, along with minors in Legal Studies, Finance, and Real Estate Development & Finance. The Finance program explores financial management fundamentals and institutional finance, emphasizing corporate financial goals while covering investment and portfolio strategies. The Personal Financial Planning curriculum examines financial concepts for individual wealth management and methods to attain personal financial targets. The Legal Studies minor offers courses that enhance comprehension of legal systems, their roles, potential, and constraints. A joint Law and Economics major is available through collaboration between the Finance and Law Department and the Economics Department. For Personal Financial Planning students, the program prepares you for the Certified Financial Planner examination, paving the way for rewarding opportunities in financial services.
